Jackie Ranken M.Photogf.III, FNZIPP

Short Bio

Multi award winning landscape art photographer Jackie Ranken has established herself as an EOS Master Photographer in Australia and New Zealand with her unique black and white aerial imagery, examples are in the book called 'Aerial Abstracts' ( available for purchase direct from Jackie).

Since moving to Queenstown New Zealand in 2003, Jackie has concentrated on making her unique style adapt to photographing 'on the ground'. Her list of photography awards since then is testament to her success. She is the only photographer to have won both Australian Professional Photographer of the Year (AIPP) and New Zealand Professional Photographer of the Year (NZIPP).

Jackie's personal challenge is to capture the essence of where she is where ever she is on the planet. To notice the beauty in shapes, textures and light, while at the same time referencing who she is and what she like's to photograph. "My image making is intuitive and spontaneous, I primarily make images that present themselves to me. I believ in following my intuition and in the process of 'going with the flow'. I work hard to get the shot and once realized I then will go on to find the next one. My work will never finish and I love it this way."
